I signed up for annual and I'd like my payment to go to the Richard Johnson Tasting It Fund

If I'm one of the first 50 to sign up, do we get an exclusive single wing on UWF football from Godfrey?

Alex Kirshner's avatar

We might need to do a UWF thing anyway tbh

Does this make us all Golden Trans-Am level members?

Looking forward to reading your work here.

Do we need to do anything on the Patreon side to end our subscription there?

Alex Kirshner's avatar

Nope. We're going to pause billing there. We've never done that before but we'll make sure nobody is billed twice.

Brandon Moore's avatar

Thanks! If we subscribe now, the payment will go through in December or should we wait to add payment info beginnings of December?

Austin Tedesco's avatar

Hey Brandon! Austin from Substack here. If you sign up to pay now your payment will go through in December and you'll maintain your one-month comp without any issues. No need to wait.

Alex, I took all the steps to see you tonight at the Foundry in Athens, but my sons baseball party and daughter's football game take precedence.

Walk up the hill from the Foundry and see downtown. The majority of the bars on Clayton Street are for the younger hard chargers but Cutters is ok. Walk past the Ga Theatre on Clayton and take a right on Hull.

This area is the historic African American district downtown and there are some hipster bars (Manhattans and Trapeze) that are ok. The two barbershops on the corner of Washington and Hull have been around forever and the Wilson's who own one of the barbershops used to have a fantastic restaurant next door.

Not all Georgia fans play golf and you may encounter some of those in this area. Pick up a Flagpole and see what else there is to do this weekend.

Go DAWGS and I hope you have a great time in Athens.

Joseph, sorry to miss you. I've been being a loser sitting in my hotel room all day doing this migration stuff but I am very excited to get out and walk in a few minutes.

Can we safely delete the old Yellow Patreon feed from our respective podcasting app?

I have a couple of Scheme School episodes saved to give another listen in the offseason, but I can just download them again if the full archive is available on Substack.

Alex Kirshner's avatar

Yep! The yellow feed can indeed be sent packing. And the back catalog is even in the new feed, though it's crowded.

Man I was really hoping the for the inverted green on yellow T shirt from homefield....

Yeah fellas..... love this move for yall.

A lot of smart folks are following this blueprint, and seem to be thriving. I'm especially curious to see what you do with notes / chat, which has the potential to be a better version of the bird app we once knew and loved. Strong recommend for using both liberally, as there's an early adopter play for you that could have big long-term upside once substack crosses the search engine chasm.

Onward and upward!

Thanks, Joe. Excited about that capability too. In fact, the hope is that we're going to do one on a game day next week.

Awesome! What the fuck is happening at Colorado?

Having trouble seeing the latest premium episode in Apple podcast app. I followed the video instructions but all I’m seeing are free episodes. Do I need to use a different podcast player? Any help appreciated!

Page looks great! Looking forward to the newsletters.

Took two tries, but the Pocket Casts link from Substack worked and everything came over. Will we still need to subscribe to the free show?

Alex Kirshner's avatar

Yep, no change with the free show.
