Come see us live in Raleigh on August 23
Full details on Split Zone Duo's trip to the Sports Podcast Festival on Week 0 Saturday.
Hello! We hope you have gotten everything you wanted out of this holiday week. In case you’ve missed it, make sure you check out our subscriber show, a retrospective on the 2010 coach carousel with Godfrey, Richard, and Alex. We’ll be back in our normal cadence of episode releases next week.
The three of us go on the road about once a year, and this season, our live show will be August 23 in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are headlining the second edition of the Sports Podcast Festival, which returns after our pals at the Shutdown Fullcast helped to make the first event a big success in 2024.
We’ve mentioned this event on a few recent shows, and now we’re sending out that nice, spiffy ticket link, as well as full details to answer all questions.
When/where is the show?
The Rialto, a beloved Raleigh theater, on August 23. Week 0 Saturday!
Doors open at 5 p.m., so you’ll have time to watch that afternoon’s Iowa State-Kansas game at a bar and then come on over to the show.
Who will I see at the Sports Podcast Festival?
Godfrey, Richard, and Alex will do a live taping of Split Zone Duo. It’ll have some local flavor, and we’ll talk about the season ahead.
But it’s not just our crew! Raleigh sports radio legends and all-around ball-knowers Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio are also doing a show. And so is the Big Screen Sports podcast, hosted by Kyle Bandujo with Caroline Darney.
As a bonus: Every ticket to the SPF is also good for “Balls vs. Cancer,” starring the very funny Sklar Brothers, on September 19.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are $59 in advance or $69 at the door. You can also get a ticket that includes a limited edition (and, frankly, very stylish and comfy) shirt from Homefield. That’s right. Homefield will be there too. Look at this!
Are you working on some fun surprises for this show?
We think you will have a very enjoyable time with us.
I have never gone to an SZD live show before. Should I?
Well, obviously. Just look at this testimonial!
But yeah, you should come on out. We have done four live shows (D.C., Minneapolis, Houston, Atlanta) and are excited to get to a new area. Raleigh is a cool spot for us because it’s got a ton of direct flights (New York, Chicago, LA, Nashville, Miami, dozens more) and is drivable even from non-Carolina cities such as D.C., Atlanta, and Nashville. A great thing to make a weekend of!
We’d love to see you there.
Meeting people at these shows is some of the most fun we have podcasting. Tickets are available now!
