While a lot of the fanbase would like to see him go, I think it's a gray area. Cunningham isn't likely bloodthirsty enough for a mid-season firing. I'm still (pleasantly) surprised he finally fired Miller. And who knows how much of Sorsby's tenure was failure due to his addiction; I'd previously put all failure on Satterfield's back for poor play-calling and lack of creativity. We'll never know if Sorsby going rogue on calls at pivotal moments was because he was helping someone's parlay.
I don’t think he’ll be fired midseason either, but I can’t imagine UC seeing Satt go 4-8 in year 4 and wanting another year. You’re right on the improvisation, but Sorsby was not allowed to make audibles at the line and kinda did those YOLO hero ball moments because he felt he had to respond to a pre-snap read post snap.
I also wonder if Cunningham is going to find the first life raft out of town before making another football hire. He did well to let Wes go to Charlotte and get Calhoun, but football is still the driver for UC’s future.
While I agree that there is a wide range of outcomes for Lincoln Riley, I don't think a TV gig next year is one of them. He's been pretty open about not wanting to coach into his 60s, and I think that's one thing you can probably take his word on given his history with Bob Stoops and Mike Leach. I don't see him taking time away from the game unless he really can't find another job, and I have to imagine he would at least be a pretty in-demand OC in the event he gets fired.
I'm also very curious to hear Richard elaborate on his confidence in USC making the Playoff in the Big Ten preview episode. That schedule sure feels like it's setting up another 9-3 season.
I feel like Dabo Swinney is in the “No Country for Old Men” phase of a career, not equipped to handle the cynical turn in college sports. He just loves Jesus too much, ha.

I would think Texas would need either an implosion this season or a good intel they can bring in a whale, ie Saban.
